Discover What You’re Made of at NMCA
You’re idling at a traffic light, when out of the corner of your eye, a fellow motorhead pulls up, engine revving. He looks your way, then points at the road ahead as if to say, “Let’s go.” We all know this type of challenge is highly discouraged at every municipal stoplight on two lane roads across the country.
At National Muscle Car Association events, you can bring your everyday driver and go head-to-head down a straightaway, besting those bold enough to take you on.
In fact, at this year’s NMCA events, there will be a Dodge/Mopar® HEMI® engine shootout, where the first 75 competitors can sign up to receive a complimentary entry, allowing even the novice driver to experience what your car is made of. And what it’s made for. All for the sake of giving lucky drivers the opportunity to bear down on the steering wheel, drop the pedal and test
their driving skills.
NMCA makes it really easy for you to go street racing. If your vehicle is licensed, insured and has been driven on the street, then you qualify. The Dodge/Mopar HEMI engine shootout classes will be run on Saturdays, but NMCA encourages you to show up a few days early to do some Test & Tune sessions on the Thursday and Friday prior to the big event. Once Saturday rolls around, you get to make three passes down the track. NMCA staff will average your times and whoever has the closest average to 9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 seconds will win a slick award and $100 cash. The overall winner receives $250 and the NMCA Victor Award. Plus, you’re free to stick around for Sunday racing, where you can get a complimentary entry into the Bracket 3/Street class.
