BETTER THAN GLAZED HAM, THE JEEP® AND MOPAR® BRANDS SERVE UP SEVEN EASTER SAFARI CONCEPT VEHICLES
In keeping with tradition, Jeep® and Mopar® Brands showed up strong at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, with seven tasty, Mopar-inspired Jeep Brand vehicle upfits.
“These concept vehicles are a perfect example of how off-road enthusiasts can use Jeep Performance Parts to personalize and enhance the already outstanding Jeep Brand capability, allowing them to face the toughest trails in the world,” said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA – Global.
The Jeep Switchback proved most palate-pleasing to the off-road crowd. It features Jeep Performance Parts offerings including the front and rear Dana 44™ axle, a 4-inch lift with remote reservoir Fox® shocks, heavy-duty cast differential covers, 10th Anniversary steel front and rear bumpers, Rubicon winch, grille, winch guard, cold air intake, axle-back exhaust, 17-inch concept wheels and 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM2 tires. And, since the parts are all Mopar, they work in perfect harmony with the vehicle’s stock 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6/five-speed automatic transmission combo.
Switchback’s lighting systems provide superior visibility with a concept LED off-road windshield light bar, concept LED off-road A-pillar lamps, LED tail lamps, and Jeep® Performance Parts LED headlamps and fog lamps. You can’t miss it, day or night.
Inside is a little slice of paradise complete with Katzkin® leather seats, body-color bezel accents, concept sport bar grab handles, spray-in bed liner on the floor and Mopar® all-weather mats. The cargo area also features a Mopar swing gate (reinforced with Jeep Performance Parts gate hinge reinforcements) storage rack with a first aid kit, roadside safety kits and an oversized spare tire carrier.
Switchback also showcases a concept hood and half doors, concept “Safari” hardtop and roof rack system.
