A Winning Mission

IN BUSINESS: 62 years

When good people get together to do great work, exceptional things can happen. Case in point, Henry Yach, third-generation owner of Yach’s Body & Custom Inc. in Wausau, Wisconsin.

“We’ve had a lot of wins in our business,” said Yach. “In 2011, my father received the Executive of the Year Award for our industry through Fender Bender Magazine. That same year, we received 2011 Small Business of the Year for our area through our chamber of commerce.

In 2013, I received a 20 Under 40 Leadership award.” Something else happened in 2013. Henry and his wife purchased the business from his parents, taking the shop into its third generation of ownership. Henry’s first order of business as the new owner was to take a close look at the mission statement with his team.ToGlorify

“Our business has always been run in tandem with the core values of our mission statement. Still, one of the first things that I did as the new owner was to write out the entire mission statement with our team, define what it means and work with the team to live those words daily,” said Yach.

It’s a strategy that has created a winning scenario with Yach’s Body & Custom Inc., who earned an I-CAR Gold Certification at their facility. “Obviously, we are not perfect,” said Yach. “But we make decisions as a team, and work to serve our customers through the lens of that mission and those values.”
