Devin Pitcher’s 2015 Dodge Charger R/T
Devin Pitcher, Center Line, Michigan
When I saw the press release for the Mopar® ’15 Performance Kit, I called the dealer and put my order in. The kit made my Dodge Charger R/T even better because of Scat Pack and the fact that it’s numbered. I had a 2006 Charger Daytona and they only made 4,000 of those. Having one of the 50 Mopar ’15 editions makes this car even more special to me and brought back the things I missed about my Daytona — a focus on performance.
Also, I’ve always loved Mopar, so the fact that now I have an official Mopar edition makes me love the car even more. Just about all the accessories that came with it I really wanted to buy and the fact that I could buy it all as a kit —and be able to have a numbered car at the same time — is a win-win.
The Mopar ’15 Kit with the Scat Pack adds 18 additional horsepower and includes a Mopar performance PCM, cold air intake and performance cat-back exhaust — all much better than stock. The exhaust is tuned to be louder than stock, but at the same time isn’t too aggressive. The tone is just right for cruising and having fun, but as soon as you get onto the freeway at 70 miles an hour the exhaust is nice and quiet with no interior drone. My 0 to 60 times have gone down since I put on the kit, so I would definitely say it has improved the performance of the car.
The other thing I love about the Scat Pack Kit, is that I don’t lose my warranty. I know a lot of people want to modify their new cars, but it would void their warranty. With the Scat Pack, I get to keep my 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty.
I’ve always been a fan of Mopar. My dad worked for Chrysler for many years, so we’ve always had a Mopar in the family. That’s why I’d rather get a part from Mopar than get it through a third party accessory maker because I know they’re quality parts.
When the 2015 Charger came out I knew I had to have that car. It was an impulse buy. I fell in love with it so I traded in my 2006 and I walked out of the dealership with a new 2015. This car puts a smile on my face every time I get in it.
