Mopar Mourns Passing of Christopher Wertman

Mopar would like to extend condolences to the family of Christopher Wertman, 38, a father of three who was tragically killed in a fire at his home in Norton, Ohio, on July 31. Wertman built and was the part-time driver of the Mega Maniac Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak vehicle he co-owned with his father, David Wertman.

The shocking news came only days after the Wertmans celebrated their NHRA Best Appearing Car award at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals in Morrison, Colo. Wertman, known as “Drooze” in the racing community, is survived by his father, David Wertman; mother, Linda Snowball; stepfather, Francis Stoughton; sons, David and Maximillian; daughter, Isabella; and many other relatives and friends.
