This One Has an Aluminum V-10 and is Race-Ready

Racers rejoice. Mopar® is dropping a V-10 into the iconic Dodge Challenger. The new race-only V-10-powered rear-wheel drive 2011 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak features an all-aluminum 8.4-liter 512 cubic-inch engine with a 2-speed automatic transmission. Mopar showcased its new drag car at the Dodge Viper Owners Invitational in Salt Lake City on Oct. 1. The vehicle will then make its way to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas from Nov. 2–5, and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Orlando from Dec. 9–11.

“With the introduction of our new 2011 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak, Mopar will be the only place to get a factory-built V-10-powered race-ready drag car,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “Mopar’s new Challenger Drag Pak is a race rocket that will appeal to racers, collectors, dealers, and Dodge Viper owners.”

Based on the 2011 Dodge Challenger and finished in Stock Eliminator and Super Stock configurations, the 2011 Mopar Challenger V-10 Drag Pak is the first and only 500-plus cubic-inch V-10 drag-race package car. The car features competition wheels and tires, a Mopar solid rear axle with performance gear ratio, a 2-speed drag race transmission with integrated roll control, a complete competition fuel system with fuel cell, and a complete interior with gauge package.

The Mopar Challenger V-10 Drag Pak features a Bright White paint scheme with color options. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $85,512 and production begins early next year.

Mopar offers three options with this vehicle. First, the Competition Package includes an eight-point roll cage, six-point safety harness and a mesh window net (MSRP: $7,950, Part No. P5155820). Second, a Mopar logo body wrap (MSRP: $950, Part No. P5155892) and a range of body colors (MSRP: $6,800, Part No. P5155893). With the Competition Package, the car is ready to go down the drag strip.

Orders must be submitted using the Mopar Challenger V-10 Drag Pak Application, which is available now at www.mopar.com, the Mopar Direct Connection Tech Line at (888) 528-HEMI (4364), or a local Dodge dealer. Customers should work with their local Dodge dealer to submit their application.

Don’t let anybody steal your thunder. The Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System (EVTS) uses real-time GPS tracking technology to quickly locate stolen vehicles as well as notifying owners if a vehicle is driven too fast or too far. The EVTS is available in three packages:

• The Mopar Gold EVTS Plan (only available at activation) offers all the advantages of the Silver plan with unlimited online tracking and full concierge service.

Mopar Muscle

Mopar Cast Aluminum Valve Covers 
(P/N P5007616) are polished to a chrome-like shine that’s perfect for that show car engine look—
featuring Mopar Pentastar logos. The set includes two valve covers and two oil filler caps (does not include baffling).

Mopar Short Throw Shift Lever (P/N P5155284AB) features the Mopar name and an embossed billet aluminum and easy bolt-in shifter lever. One inch shorter than production for a 4:5:1 lever ratio, it allows more precise shifts without increasing product level NVH (noise/vibration/harshness). This short-throw shifter will accommodate any 3/8-16 thread shifter knob. Shifter, lever and knob fit 2009–2010 Challengers with manual transmissions. 

The lightweight Mopar Pistol Grip (P/N P5155458) gives your Dodge Challenger the muscle car look and feel, but with the modern carbon fiber finish it deserves with these brand-new, factory reissued pistol grip shift lever. This Pistol Grip Shifter assembly exclusively features the Mopar name on the lever and fits 2009–2010 Challengers with manual transmissions.

There is no substitute for displacement! The largest of Mopar’s Gen II line up—this giant 572-cid HEMI (P/N P5155431)—is rated at 650 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. If horsepower and speed are what makes your heart race, the Mopar 426 HEMI Gen III All-Aluminum Crate Motor (P/N P5155513) is just what the doctor ordered. With 540 horsepower and 530 lb.-ft. torque you’ll enjoy all the benefits of the classic HEMI. Lightweight aluminum gives added performance in more ways than one—better acceleration, braking, vehicle dynamics, weight distribution, you name it. Lighter is better.

Want to crank your Viper up even more? Mopar now offers Viper ACR look and feel for Gen III and Gen IV Vipers. The new racer kits (P/N 5155273 (Coupe) and P/N 5155274 (Roadster) include variable geometry “fanged” front splitter, an adjustable rear wing sculpted by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and optimized front planes. These new aerodynamic devices are formed of high-performance autoclaved carbon fiber.

Direct Connection Test Lab Car

How do you test and hone the capabilities of the already record-breaking Mopar Performance Parts? You need a test vehicle that’s up to the task. This Direct Connection Test Lab car is used for testing all kinds of cool stuff including the HEMI Gen III all-aluminum engine, experimental CNC ported heads, an intercooled turbo induction system and a Mopar Engine Management System (EMS).
