This is my rare HEMI® Orange 1972 Dodge Demon 340 4-speed. I completed the car in one year—as a rotisserie job. The vehicle has won two years in a row at Carlisle (Mr. Norm’s Celebrity Choice). Mr. Norm signed the air cleaner and put his stickers on the vehicle. Owning the Demon for over 30 years, it was my first car at age 14—purchased for $75.

This 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 4-bbl was a retirement gift from my wife, after 25 years with Mopar. A frame-off restoration has restored the vehicle to its original appearance. The vehicle entered into the Galen Govier Registry on October 14, 2008, with an overall score of 1.9.

My Mopar family includes six vehicles. The 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8® (6.1L HEMI w/425 hp) only has 6,800 miles on the odometer. It has every available option. The 1968 Dodge Charger R/T clone originally was powered by a 383, but now puts power to the pavement with a 440 (bored 30-over) and automatic transmission (w/shift kit). It is red with a black vinyl top. The 1968 Dodge Coronet 440 remains original with the numbers matching 318 and automatic transmission. It only has 88,000 miles on her. It looks very nice with the white interior and the B5 blue exterior. The 1973 Plymouth Duster has the original numbers matching 318 and automatic transmission too. I enjoy cruising these cars every week with my club, the Minisink Valley Cruisers. We meet every week to cruise New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We drive our cars, not just show them. It’s great to see the reaction of people when we’re on the road—especially when we have a dozen or more cars going with us. By the way, we also have in our family “stable” a 1997 Ram 1500 Club Cab and a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with Stow ‘n Go seating.

At age 75, I recently went out and bought my first muscle car—a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T! Preferring older car designs better than today’s styles, I put extra trim inside and out and added new black leather seats with red inserts—including stitching to match the exterior red paint. I told my wife this was my last new car! Well that might be true; however, I started looking at the style of the ‘70 Challengers at local area car shows. Then I saw a movie that I can relate to, The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman with a yellow ’70 Challenger. A few months later a rerun of NCIS has a yellow ‘70 Challenger in it! At the time, I didn’t know they were the same car. Well, I ended up with the car in my garage—I had no intention of this happening at the start—but divine intervention stepped in, and being religious, I had to accept this!
