Allen Johnson Sizzles in New Pro Stock Mopar® Dodge Avenger

Team Mopar® driver Allen Johnson really, really likes his new 2010 NHRA Pro Stock Mopar Dodge Avenger.

Johnson got off to a hot start in his fresh Mopar HEMI®-powered Dodge in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season-opening event at the 50th Annual NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif., on Feb. 11–14. The longtime Team Mopar driver raced all the way to the semifinals at Pomona, the first of four consecutive semifinals appearances Johnson made in his new Mopar Dodge. Johnson was third in the Pro Stock point standings at press time, only 18 markers behind the second place Jason Line.

“The new Mopar Dodge Avenger is definitely a better car than what we had last year,” said Johnson. “I think we still have more in it. When we get it to its optimum point, I think you’re really going to see the Mopar Dodge shine.”
