New models and a taste of its Italian brethren spiced up the Chrysler Group LLC stand at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Mich., in January.
The Ferrari, Maserati and Fiat stands were mixed in with the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram brand exhibits. Fiat 1.4-liter in-line four cylinder engines were also on display, offering a glimpse into Chrysler Group LLC’s revamped powertrain lineup.
The words “base model” seemed to have been taken out of Chrysler Group LLC’s vocabulary. New models on display at the NAIAS included the Jeep Wrangler Islander, Jeep Wrangler Mountain, Chrysler 300S and Plum Crazy Dodge Challenger, to name just a few. All new models will soon be available in showrooms.
