‘Set Your Pace Vacation Sweepstakes’ Winner Announced

Cathy J. Spears of New Philadelphia, Ohio, drove away as the Grand Prize package winner in the 2008 “Set Your Pace Vacation Sweepstakes.” Spears won the one-of-a-kind 2008 “Special Edition” Dodge Charger R/T Pace Car accessorized by Mopar®, two 30-lap Experiences of a Lifetime at the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas, round-trip tickets for two as well as four days and three nights of accommodations at the Wyndham Grand Desert Resort in Las Vegas and two one-year memberships in the Official NASCAR Members Club.

Spears’ new ride is a Mopar gear head’s dream. Her Dodge Charger R/T Pace Car includes Mopar Parts and Accessories such as a Chrome Billet Grille, Rear Spoiler, Engine Cover, Carpeted Trunk Mat, Katzkin Leather Seat Kit, 18" Mopar Wheels and Charger Logo Floor Mats. The one-of-a-kind Richard Petty seats include “The King’s” embroidered signature as well as the No. 43 he made famous campaigning to seven NASCAR championships.

“The car took my breath away. It was fantastic,” said Spears, a die hard Dodge fan who also owns a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. “I live in a little town, and nobody around here wins anything like this. Everybody says, ‘You did not win this car.’ And I have to say, ‘Yes, I did!’

“When I took the certified letter stating that I won to be notarized, the manager at the bank thought it was a joke. I said, ‘No, I hope it’s not a joke, I actually won this car!’ This doesn’t happen to me. It’s unbelievable. The car is beautiful, and it drives like a dream. I’m a fan of Dodge for life.”
