Victory Junction Gang Scores a Win Thanks to Chrysler

The Chrysler Foundation announced recently a donation of $50,000 to the Victory Junction Gang Children’s Camp to honor Richard Petty and his 50-year motorsports career in NASCAR as a driver and team owner.

Victory Junction Gang Camp enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. Victory Junction Gang Camp was founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife Pattie in honor of their late son Adam.

“No one has done more for the sport of NASCAR racing than Richard Petty, and Chrysler is proud to have such a part in his success,” said Bob Nardelli, Chairman and CEO of Chrysler LLC. “Everyone at Chrysler is tremendously proud of our long association with Richard Petty and we’re pleased to make this contribution to the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

“The King” is the most decorated driver in the history of NASCAR racing, winning a record number 200 career victories and seven NASCAR Sprint Cup championships in his illustrious career. Petty drove either a Plymouth or a Dodge to 176 victories during his career.
