Light Repair, The Mopar® Way

Mopar® offers a wide variety of remanufactured light repair parts for most Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles.

As trends go, this one has been about as consistent as it gets. The U.S. vehicle fleet has been steadily getting older for several years now. In fact the average age of vehicles on the road today stands at 10 years.

The U.S economy continues to face challenges, food and energy prices are soaring, and many families find themselves in somewhat precarious financial positions. So it’s probably not surprising that a lot of vehicle owners are opting for the occasional repair bill as opposed to a new car payment.

This fact of life is good news for independent repair shops that see the lion’s share of business when it comes to service and repairs on older out-of-warranty vehicles. When it comes to sourcing light repair parts for Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles, shops have a few choices: New O.E. parts from their local dealer or aftermarket parts from a variety of sources.

In many cases, owners of older vehicles may want cost effective alternatives to new O.E. parts. And aftermarket parts can offer varying degrees of quality and durability. That’s where a third option comes into play: Mopar® remanufactured parts. Mopar remanufactured light repair products offer authentic Mopar quality at prices that can be significantly less than new O.E. parts. In other words, the perfect solution for owners of older vehicles.

Mopar offers a full line of remanufactured light repair and underhood service products for most Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles:

All Mopar remanufactured parts are returned to O.E. specifications using a comprehensive remanufacturing process approved by Mopar and Chrysler Engineering. This process includes a complete teardown and inspection. Cores that don’t meet Chrysler specifications are discarded.

Cores that do meet Chrysler’s requirements are then remanufactured—not rebuilt—using a process that in many cases includes new, O.E. components. When a part is rebuilt, only the failed component is generally replaced. Let’s take a water pump with a bad impeller bearing as a generic example. If the pump is rebuilt, chances are only the bearing itself is replaced. Mopar’s remanufacturing process calls for that same pump to be torn down, cleaned and inspected and then remanufactured back to O.E. specs.

Let’s face it, when your customers bring their Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicles in for service, their primary focus is getting their vehicle back in a timely manner with the problem fixed. Your job is to give your customers the best overall value for their repair dollars. When you use Mopar remanufactured light repair products, don’t keep it to yourself. Tell your customers that you’re giving them authentic Mopar quality at a cost that in many cases can be significantly less than O.E. products. It’s a fact to be proud of, and something that can boost customer loyalty.
